Keep looking ahead...

The past couple of days have been pretty rough. My anchor auditions didn't go as well as I hoped, I found out today that the anchors won't be announced until next week, and also that there are 25 people trying to get in 5 spots for the advanced class. Things aren't looking up for me right now, and while I'm disappointed, I know that things will look up again.

For every door that closes, another one opens.

I know that getting down on myself isn't going to make things any better. I have to believe in myself and trust that things will work out. I have to accept all the overwhelming support from my friends and family. I have to keep my sights on the big picture. I have to keep looking ahead.

As you all know, I'm a big country fan and I love Taylor Swift. I think she says it well (or sings it, I guess) in her new song "Change" which I've been listening to nonstop for about 3 weeks now.

"It's a sad picture, the final blow hits you
somebody else gets what you wanted again
you know it's all the same, another time and place
repeating history and you're getting sick of it
but I believe in whatever you do
and I'll do anything to see it through

because these things will change
can you feel it now?
these walls that they put up to hold us back will fall down
this revolution, the time will come
for us to finally win
we sing hallelujah, we sing hallelujah..."

love, hugs, and faith... because these things will change
